This Privacy Policy describes the ways in which Spirit AeroSystems Inc. and its affiliates (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collect, use and disclose information about you through our websites including www.spiritaero.com and all other Company websites and applications that link to this policy   (collectively our “Sites”) as well as our offline interaction, such as when you attend one of our events including but not limited to a marketing event, trade show, or sales meeting.

Spirit and all its business segments, divisions and subsidiaries (collectively “Spirit”, “we” or “our”) are committed to conducting business in a way that complies with applicable data protection laws and regulations in every country in which Spirit operates. These laws govern the collection, storage, processing and use of personal data. By using our Sites, you consent to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. Please note that our rights to use your personal data will be based on the Privacy Policy in effect at the time this Site is accessed.

Our Sites also may contain third-party links.  You acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for the collection and use of your information by such third parties that are not under our control.  We encourage you to review the privacy policies of each website you visit.


What personal data do we collect?

Personal data you provide – We and our service providers collect information that you provide when you use our Sites, including when you apply for a job, participate in our message boards or forums, sign up to receive our electronic newsletters, participate in polls and surveys, register for our events (including webcast events), enter our competitions, order products from us through any online portal or otherwise contact us with a question, comment or request.

Personal data automatically collected from you – We and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information from your computer or mobile device when you use the Sites, such as your Internet Protocol address, your browser type, your operating system, the pages you view on the Sites, the pages you view immediately before and after you access the Sites and the search terms you enter on the Sites.  This information allows us to recognize you and personalize your experience if you return to the Sites, and to improve the Site and the services we provide.  We and our service providers may collect this information using “cookies,” which are small text files that the Sites saves on your computer using your web browser and accesses when you return, or similar technologies.  For more details on your choices on cookies, please see our Cookie Policy

Where is your personal data processed?

Your information is processed in the United States or any other country in which Spirit or its affiliates or subcontractors maintain facilities. The data protection in these countries might be different from and could be less stringent than those in your country of residence.


How is your personal data secured?

Spirit has internal policies and controls in place to prevent your personal data from being lost, accidentally destroyed, misused or unintentionally disclosed, and accessed except by its employees or external parties hired by Spirit as needed to perform their duties. Spirit employees are requested to comply with data protection laws and familiarize themselves with IT policies around security and acceptable use of IT systems, equipment, etc.
We are not responsible for the security of information you transmit to the Sites over networks that we do not control, including the Internet and wireless networks.


How long is your personal data retained?

The period for which your information is held is determined by a number of factors including the purpose for which we use that information and our legal obligations.
